On Sunday, Gigi and Pawpaw came up for a birthday visit. Another set of grandparents for another birthday celebration. What a spoiled little baby.
B had gone to Publix (because they have the best birthday cakes ever) Sunday morning to pick out the little guy’s cake, and when he woke up from his nap, Gigi and Pawpaw were there were with a present and ready to eat some cake.
You guys, I’m not sure where or how he learned to blow out candles, but he certainly seemed to grasp it pretty quick.
After cake and ice cream — which Sheffield called “happy cake” all day — we went to Urban Air in Homewood for some bouncing. It’s one of those trampoline parks with a giant jungle gym, and all sorts of stuff for kids to get into. He had a freaking blast. He wanted to go off in every direction and do everything. Seeing him bounce on the trampoline made me laugh so hard. He was just having so much fun, and it made my heart so happy.
Sunday night, we made some Funfetti cupcakes to take in for his daycare celebration, and we busted him out of daycare early on Monday to get chips and dip from Taco Mama. That little kiddo will eat guac with just his hands. We followed up with an afternoon in the pool and some Boss Baby. It’s still so crazy to think that’s he’s two.
I got this sweet picture of him on his actual birthday, and he looks so old and grown up. Happy 2nd birthday little dude – can’t wait to share many more with you.
