Last week was Sheff’s fourth birthday, so we had to celebrate accordingly. He got our gift from us (a new bike!), and he rode around the basement just checking it out. We have started a new tradition with him every year by going to Taco Mama for queso and guac for Sheff and margaritas for mom and dad. And since Sheff stole my sister’s birthday, and she lives here now too, she has joined in our tradition. My sister’s boyfriend bought a cake, and we got to celebrate and sing at Taco Mama. It was such a good time.
Then on Saturday, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate with all of his friends. It was so fun to see him with his daycare friends, and to see how they interact every day. It was only two hours (thank God, seeing as how my social anxiety was raging), and the hostess we had was absolutely amazing. She was just the sweetest and helped me do everything. The kids seemed to have a good time, so that’s all that matters.
I still can’t believe I have a four year old. It’s so awesome to see him grow into the person he’s going to be. Can’t wait to see what this year brings, because holy shit, we start real school in year.
