One thing I am super thankful for with daycare is how many different foods they introduce to boo. They have an amazing breakfast, lunch and snack menu every week, and I love the variety and different things he gets to try.
The only thing they ask of us is to bring their 4pm snack — if the child will be there by then. Since most of the time B and I don’t get off work until 4, he needs that snack. Most of the time, I try to make sure it’s something semi-nutritious (this month it’s utz mini-cheeseballs for the win. I am so winning at this mom stuff), so I’ll look for recipes that are simple and have some sort of nutritional value. So when I found this three ingredient GENIUS of a snack, I made them immediately.
(recipe from passionforsavings.com)
What you need:
// 1/2 cup honey
// 3/4 cup peanut butter
// 3 cups Cheerios
What to do:
// Line 8×8 pan with foil. Set aside
// Cook PB and honey over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted and blended.
// Remove from heat and stir in Cheerios. Mix until evenly coated.
// Put mixture into pan and press in place. Refrigerate for an hour before cutting into bars. Store any remaining in fridge.
These are so good that I have snuck a few for breakfast — they usually keep me full until lunch time! I hope y’all have a great weekend! Maybe make these bars while you’re at it!!
Mmmmmmmm these look delicious! But Utz cheese balls are too lol. I will have to remember these when I need to start packing daycare snacks!
no lie, KC would love these hahaha
Oh my word I am making these ASAP. Genius!!
