Our beach trip was short and sweet, as they always are. We drove down Thursday morning, and got there just in time for boogs to get his nap in. Plus, he ate every single chicken nugget from his Happy Meal. I did a small dance when he said “all gone!” Anyway, after nap time, we headed to the beach. He’s a little afraid of the waves, but he loved loved loved the pool, so we splashed around in there for a little bit. We had dinner at the condo that night, while we watched the first round of the draft, and went to bed pretty early.
Friday was a beautiful day! We went to the outlets in the morning, and then to a giant playground so boogs could wear himself out. We got some yummy drinks and oysters for lunch (hot dogs for the babes – which he ate! I’m not sure who this kid is, but I like it!), and then went back to the condo for nap time. B was sweet enough to let me head to the beach while boogs napped. Since he still wasn’t feeling the beach thing, we hung around in the pool all day! Luckily the water wasn’t too freezing, because we seriously spent all day in there! My dad and step-mom put him to bed that night, so B and I could enjoy a date night! We had the most delicious seafood and pina coladas!
Saturday we all just kind of hung out – we got doughnuts and ate Publix subs and chilled by the pool. Boogs actually got down with playing some in the sand as soon as we busted out his toys! We had a nice family dinner at Pompano Joes, got some ice cream (he even got to stay up about an hour later than his normal bed time!) and headed back.
We got up early on Sunday to head home — it was such a fun trip, and we were definitely sad to have to come back home. Even Sheffield woke up asking to go back to the pool!
