It’s no secret that we love food in this house. Eating and trying new foods definitely tops the list of things we enjoy. So, when I saw this book dedicated to Korean food, I knew I had to check it out.
And I am glad I did!
Koreatown, by Deuki Hong and Matt Rodbard, is a cookbook full of authentic Korean foods with beautiful pictures. I’ll be upfront – unless you have an Asian food store around you, some of the ingredients in these dishes may be hard to find. But if you do happen to have one near you, then you’re in luck.
This book also intermingles with Q & A’s with a Korean chef, story telling with Linkin Park’s (yes, that awesome sauce band from the 2000s) DJ and even with Andrew Zimmern. Plus, the photography is beautiful – I mean, see below.
And any book that has an entire section dedicated to making cocktails is fine by me! And any book that has a bona fide recipe for ramen should be ok by you too!
I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves to cook new things and definitely those who like to learn new styles of cooking. I loved flipping through this book, trying to pick which recipe I want to do next!
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.”
