About a month or so ago, we got invited (with media passes!) to go to Breakin Bread at Railroad Park in Birmingham. We are lucky enough to be working on a project (maybe more deets later…maybe not! 🙂 ), but either way it was awesome.
What Breakin Bread is, is pretty much a collaboration of the most amazing food from the most amazing restaurants in the Ham, followed by all the beer/wine you could drink.
The weather was so perfect — like one of those days where you were pretty damn happy that you happened to have your bad ass camera, instead of just your iPhone. (of course, nothing against my iPhone though — the majority of my pictures are taken on that. and I heart it.) We walked around trying every single one of the booths, and drinking local beers from the biergarten. It was amazing. My absolute favorite thing from the event was the pork on the waffle with the maple heaven from John’s City Diner. Like, I honestly can’t get enough of that place. Even in real life. THEY PUT PORK IN THEIR MAC N CHEESE. So damn good.
So instead of showing you the pics of the food, I’m going to show you all the crazy, non-any-sort-of-professional pics from that day. And PICTURE DUMP!
This was probably one of the greatest events we’ve gotten to go to in Birmingham. The tickets were a bit pricey if you had to pay for it at $50, but if next year, we’re not lucky enough to go again for free, I definitely think the price tag is worth it.
Hope y’all had a great weekend!
