So guess who’s husband is jumping on the blog bandwagon? This girls! I’ve been slowly chipping away at him to put his two cents into this little blog about our lives — one day maybe he’ll be brave enough to venture out on his own, but for now, I’m letting him rent some space on mine. And by rent, he continues to feed me, so he can have a little corner to talk about his love of beer.
And since it’s Friday — what better day to start the weekend but by talking about beer!! In case you didn’t know….this guy below is B. He’s the luckiest guy ever getting to be married to me. (I got jokes on a Friday morning).
Ain’t he just the cutest ?? Double heart eye emojis and all. Anyway, these will be his thoughts on beer — I doubt the series will be super consistent at first, but I’m hoping he gets super into it and will start to love it — but I’m getting way ahead of myself here. Anyway, without further ado…. the beer blog.
The first beer I’ll be introducing you, the readers of Alabama Graffiti, to is Blue Pants Brewery’s Candy Bar Pinstripe Stout.
This beer smells of caramel as soon as you pour it into the glass. You can actually even smell the candy bar smell straight from the bottle as you open it. The taste of peanut butter is there, but very subdued. The beer also, in traditional stout form, had a hint of chocolate.
On tasting the beer, it was almost too sweet, making the candy bar name very appropriate . This would be a great dessert beer, but not something you’d want to sit and sip on a hot summer day.
Blue Pants Brewery is located in Madison, AL. Their taproom includes a rotating tap of unique beers you can only get there, as well as another tap with their mainstays and seasonals. They’ve got an outdoor stage, featuring live music two nights a week. Their taproom is open six nights a week. For more information on the brewery, check them out here.
Thanks B! Also quick shout-out to my sissy, who’s 30th birthday is today!!! Love you Juney — now you’re old as dirt like me!
Hope y’all have a great weekend!!
