First of all, let me just tell y’all that B scored tickets to the Saints/Packers game next weekend in New Orleans, and I GET TO GO!!!!! AND, he actually got three, so guess who’s coming with?!?! Daddy-o is flying in from KC! I can’t wait! It’s going to be a super awesome weekend! Lindsey, Dad, B and the PACK!?!? Ok — sorry, I’ve hardly been able to contain my excitement!!
This past weekend, B somehow convinced me that since Auburn was in a bye weekend that we needed to go camping. Let me just say that I am not in any way shape or form the kind of girl that enjoys the outdoors. I like a good hike now and then, but spending the night outdoors, in a tent in the woods has just never sounded like a good time to me.
Plus, I hyperventilate being that far away from a Target.
Anyway, we drove about an hour or so up to Lake Guntersville — neither one of us had ever been there, but let me tell you — it was beautiful! The weather was perfect (not temperature-wise: I froze my ass off), but it didn’t rain or anything, so that was a plus. We cooked hot dogs, at s’mores, and hung out by the campfire all night. Even Stell-dog seemed to enjoy herself.
Granted, when coming back everything smelled like campfire, and I froze to death all night, despite being covered up in clothes and two blankets. I used Stell-dog as an extra heater during the night — extra snuggles were definitely had.
I only woke up about four times thinking I was going to get murdered, so that was down from the twenty from the last time we went camping. Stell-dog and I also have a picture like the above from the first time, so we needed to recreate it. I think she had an ok time too, but that dog is definitely an indoor dog and needs to be around pillows at all points in time.
I mean, I like s’mores, but that’s definitely not a good enough reason for me to go again.
What did y’all do this weekend?
