I know I haven’t had a post with any real substance in awhile, but I really like to use this as sort of my scrapbook anyway, because it’s way easier for me to do this than to actually scrapbook.
So our doctor wanted Sheffield to go to the dentist before his two year appointment, so like the great mom I am, I got this scheduled about two weeks before his second birthday. I technically still followed the rules, so parenting win.
Anyway, I had to go this appointment alone, because B was at a client’s, and I was super nervous about it – S can sometimes be kind of a butt, so I was a bundle of anxiety. However, when we got to the office, we were pretty much the only ones there! And they had a giant train set, and Finding Dory and horses to climb on! Such a fun waiting room that he kept himself occupied until we got called back.
When we did get called back, S was so intrigued by the pretty dental hygienist that he didn’t even try to be fussy. And then he got to brush his teeth, and play with the fun mirror and light. The dentist came over, and he was so sweet with Sheffield. He got his teeth swabbed with some fluoride, and the doc poked around in there. AND didn’t even scold us for still being on the paci. The hygienist even took S to pick out a toy from the toy chest (he picked a ball, of course) while I talked with the dentist.
If y’all need a dentist in the Vestavia Hills area, I highly highly recommend Vestavia Hills Pediatric Dentistry. They were so sweet with both me (it’s like they could read I was nervous as all get-out) and Sheffield.
