B surprised me a few months ago with tickets to see the Foo Fighters. This concert has been on my life’s bucket list forever, so I was pumped when he told me that he had bought them. We got really really lucky, and one of the girls that has babysat boogs before and lives right down the street came and babysat on a school night! We did tell her that it would run late, and she did have to ask her parents, but since she is so close, they didn’t have a problem with it. She is so sweet with Sheffield, and we really do love her.
All day, B and I were complete dorks – sending Foo Fighters memes to each other and just generally getting pumped up for the concert. I’ve been a Dave Grohl fan since Nirvana, like most people my age, and then pretty much fell in love with him with the Foo Fighters – so it was hard for me to keep still all day.
B and I went to EastWest for dinner (more on that place later), wasting some time so we could miss the opener and time it just right for when they were taking the stage. They started out with their first single, Run, off their new album. And from there played some of their more well known favorites. We had to leave around 11, and they continued to play until 1230. We held out as long as we could waiting for Everlong, but it didn’t happen before we left.
It was an incredible night. We stayed out way too late and couldn’t hear much when we left, but it was way worth it.
