First of all this picture — I mean, that smile! He looks exactly like B in this picture. This poor little guy has had a rough week — he’s got one of his bottom teeth coming in, and it has been giving him fits all week. Which means he’s been kind of grumpy and terrible twos-y all week. WHICH HAS BEEN SO FUN. So yesterday after we picked him up from daycare, his shirt was soaked through, and he looked so worn out – and it was raining, so we made some popcorn and watched some Daniel Tiger and make blanket and pillow forts and just took it easy.
We also decided that when he turns 21 months (April 10th), we will be saying good-bye to the paci. I’m terrified of doing this, but it needs to be done.
Yesterday, I upgraded my membership at Orange Theory which pretty much means I can go whenever I want. I plan to go at least four times a week — after my half marathon next Saturday in Chicago (eeps – I have not trained as much as I did for my first one). I cannot tell you guys how much I love going. I have never felt so strong in my life – and I know that I can commit to this. I look forward to going, and I know I’m getting a fantastic work out.
Last week when we were scootin around downtown, we passed the First United Methodist Church and saw this sign outside of it. My little liberal heart burst, and I was so proud to see something like this in Birmingham.
This weekend, B is fencing in a small portion of our backyard. He’s so handy y’all, and I can’t wait to not have to watch booger and make sure he doesn’t run up the side yard straight into the street.
Which pretty much means that tomorrow will be a mama and baby day, which will mean starting out with breakfast, probably some shopping and park time before we head home for naps – that’s right – plural. Mama likes a good nap, too. I cherish my Saturday mornings with that little guy – he just makes life more fun.
I hope you guys have a great weekend!
