I took a ton of pictures on our New Orleans trip, but of course some of them didn’t fit into what we ate or fun places to go. So here are a few of the things we did do and things I want to remember.
// Row 1 // playing in the hotel pool at Metairie – celebrating NOLA’s 300 years – sliding down slides at Storyland – me and B at NOPSI bar – enjoying a brew at Port Orleans brewery
// Row 2 // a daiquiri from a cute Cuban place called Manolitos in the quarter – getting drinks at Hot Tin bar – Mexican street corn at St. Roch’s Market – eating a sno-ball at Hansens – boogs riding the tilt-a-whirl with B at City Park Amusement Park
// Row 3 // eating beignets at Café du Monde – Bourbon Street getting ready for NOLA pride – riding the carousel at the City Park Amusement Park – me and B riding the carousel at City Park’s June Under The Moon – getting ready for our bike ride around the city
// Row 4 // feeding the sea otters at the Audobon Zoo – Commander’s Palace sign – finally learning how to swim solo with his Puddle Jumper at the hotel pool – looking out the window on the street car – me and B on the roof of Hot Tin.
// Row 5 // the entrance to Louis Armstrong Park – double margaritas and queso from Juan’s Flying Burrito – the front of Turkey and the Wolf – chargrilled oysters from Drago’s at Oyster Fest – riding the train at the amusement park.
Sorry, not sorry you had to live through three NOLA posts – we did so much and had so much fun. I’m really excited for more family trips, especially as Sheff gets older. I hope to instill in him the love of travel and learning new cultures and things.
