So in addition to us getting ready to welcome a child into this world (and our house), we decided that our home was too small. Yes, it would probably last for the first year or so, but the one bathroom thing and no one being able to stay with us due to no guest room (baby would be in it), got us thinking.
I am definitely going to need help, and I am definitely going to need someone with me. Because I’m definitely going to be one of those parents that is afraid I can break the kid.
So with all of that being said, we started looking at houses, and nothing could match up to the house we have now. See, when B and I were house hunting, the house we have now wasn’t even on our radar. We walked in, and it was love at first sight. I never want to leave this place.
After many thinking sessions, we figured out a way to stay at our place and keep ourselves happy.
We are going to add a bathroom. We are going to get the basement dry (yes, the damn thing floods), and turn that into a guest room. And surprisingly, both of these things are affordable and within our budget. I’ve been daydreaming about all of the things I can do to both of these spaces. Some are way out of budget, but some fit nicely into what we are looking for. I can’t wait to show y’all the final product.
If I don’t show up to these parts for a few days at a time, at least now you know why. 🙂
