Man, have I bought the shit out of some new beauty products while being stuck at the house. I mean, it sure seems like a good time to try some stuff, right? Here are a few of my favorites!
//1. Instagram targeted me real good with the ads for this Overtone hair color. I have wanted pink hair since Gwen Stefani rocked the hell out of it, and I decided that since I wasn’t going into the office anytime soon that now would be as good a time as any. I got the rose gold, but it definitely turned my hair a good pink. It was super easy to use, and temporary. It washed out completely within two weeks. And it comes in a lot of colors – for blondes and brunettes. While I don’t think I’ll do a full head of pink hair again, I will definitely add this in for fun highlights every and then.
//3. I went down the facial mask rabbit hole on Amazon, and came out with this one. I’ve always wanted to try Bliss products, and well, my face could always use some brightening. I love the texture of this mask, and the way it smells. I use it about twice a week, and can tell a difference on the days I use it. I’m definitely going to try out the others.
//4. For some reason, Target was/is always out of the No. 7 melting cleanser that I fell in love with, so I went with a tried and true cleanser from Olay, and I’m probably going to stick with it. It’s gentle, smells good, and isn’t crazy expensive. Win-win-win.
//5. I’ve never been one with a consistent skin routine. At all. But I started doing some research, and decided I wanted to try a toner. I went with IT Cosmetics, because I’m a huge fan of almost all of their stuff. I’ve noticed a difference in the size of my pores since using this, and it’s such an easy step to add to a morning and night routine, that I’m not sure why I wasn’t doing it before.
//6. And to add-on to that routine, I added a retinol serum. I had been using another one that I loved, but wasn’t necessarily in love with how expensive it was. I had seen other bloggers talk about how great a brand CeraVe was, so I decided to give it a shot. It’s super light, and didn’t make me break out, so another winner!
