Time for another edition of recent Birmingham Eats!! Now that I get to work downtown, I’m getting to try so many new and delicious places, so I look forward to getting many more of these posts in!
Farm Burger was so delicious. It’s counter service, and they have a menu of different burgers to choose from, or you can make your own from scratch. I made my own burger adding cheese, a fried egg, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Plus we were able to get a beer, and a milkshake. Definitely get a milkshake, and a giant tin cup of their fries. It was all delicious, and we’ll definitely be going back.
eastwest is definitely one my favorite newer restaurants. It pains me that they are only open for dinner, BUT everything I’ve had here has been delicious. Their soft buns are amazing, and their tempura shrimp are amazing. You must try the pork belly and crab bao buns, and get the spring rolls. I have also heard really great things about their steak, and their duck nachos, and I want to go back and get all of them. It’s a fun, intimate atmosphere, and I can’t wait to go back and try more.
Brat Brot has got to be my most favorite newer place to hit Birmingham. From it’s giant moose head over the bar, to it’s amazing potato wedges, I have not had a bad thing here. Their giant pretzel and dipping sauce – so good. Their schnitzel – so good. They have a giant courtyard with plenty of space to sit – inside and out. They have a lot of beer concoctions ( I had a cola-weizen, a hefeweizen mixed with Coke), and delicious saisons. This place is incredibly family friendly, and their food is so so good. We will definitely keep going back to this German-inspired restaurant/bar.
I’m so excited to keep trying new (or new to me) places and sharing them with you! If you’re in Birmingham, you can’t go wrong with any of these three places. Happy eating!!
