I read on someone’s blog earlier this week that you’re not a true blogger until you’ve done a year in review post and a resolutions post. Well, I don’t much believe in resolutions, so I’ll have to settle for a quick review.
In January, I turned the big 3-0. I got to spend the weekend in New Orleans, which makes it even better.
In February I came up with the big idea that I would cook a meal once a week. Much to B’s dismay, that didn’t last very long. I talked about Snowpocalypse and getting stuck at work.
In March, I finally got to try Johns City Diner (basically heaven), celebrated Mardi Gras by making my own King Cake, and wrote a letter to my one true love, pizza.
In April. I spent Easter in NOLA with my bestie, and we got tattoos and had way too fun, and I talked about 3 amazing places in Birmingham, and our brunch spots when we took a weekend trip to Asheville, NC.
In May, I recapped our trip to Jazz Fest and had the perfect Birmingham day.
In June, B and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary in Charleston, recapped Oyster Fest in NOLA, and asked if I was too old to wear a bikini.
In July, I moved from blogger to wordpress – celebrated the Fourth in Birmingham, and had fun at a Barons game.
In August, I had to say bye to Britney, FINALLY started meeting up with fellow bloggers (BLATES all day!!), and started recapping B’s 30th trip to NOLA.
In September, we drove out to spend to Labor Day in KC with my Dad, was reunited with two old friends, finished recapping B’s NOLA trip, and spent a beautiful 5 days in Destin with my dad and step-mom.
In October, I talked about how I was really trying to not cut my hair, how some drivers can become friends, and spent a weekend camping at Lake Guntersville, and did the Birmingham Brewery Challenge.
In November, I recapped another NOLA trip for the Packers/Saints game, posted some pictures from Breakin Bread, and went to Athens to watch Auburn get their ass beat by UGA.
In December, I took a little break from blogging. shared our Christmas decorations and our big announcement.
( I tried to be a good blogger and link all these posts, but I don’t subscribe to the try try again — if it effs up more than once, I’m done.)
New Year’s is one of my favorite holidays, and while I won’t be getting to chug down champagne or probably not making it to midnight, it’s a brand new start. AND 2015 has so much to bring so far. I hope you all have a fantastic New Year’s!!!
