The only time I can catch you still nowadays is when you’re sleeping, so this is what I’ve got for your 11-month picture. You are just so all over the place!
You are fully walking now, and you much prefer that as your mode of transportation . You can’t stand being held unless its bed time.
You are starting to really not want your bottle or the formula that’s in it anymore – you love just carrying around your sippy, and sometimes drinking out of it. We haven’t really introduced you to juice yet, since you’re still pretty happy with just water. We’ve let you try some flavored water, and of course you loved it. You’re still not really liking meat all that much, although you’ve tried it all — you just really like to spit it back out. You love pears and ravioli and mama’s cheesy scrambled eggs. You like pancakes and waffles and pretty much all the breakfast foods.
You don’t ever want to play with the millions of toys we have for you – you are much happier with plastic lids and straws and remotes. We’re hoping that one day you’ll take advantage of all these toys and just play with them already!
You are not a fan of the word “no.” In fact, you think it’s pretty funny when Dad and I say it to you — I’m hoping at some point in time that it won’t be funny, and you will listen to us.
You aren’t saying any actual words yet, outside of the mama, dada, baba, nahnah and raaaaaa — but you have started pointing and waving bye-bye. You’ve even blown a kiss or two, and will give super big hugs when we’re playing on the floor with you. You still haven’t mastered the art of giving kisses or understanding what give me a kiss means – but sometimes you’ll come at our faces with your mouth wide open, so we think you’re getting there.
You still love bath time, and you’re coming around on story time. You got to spend Memorial Day with Meemaw and Pap, and you got into the pool for the first time. And at first it wasn’t your favorite, but you definitely came around on it, especially since you got to float around in your little float.
Sheffield, every day you show us a new side of your personality. You are so silly and so happy, and I cannot believe that you are my almost one year old. You make me so happy.
