This week you turned 15 months. 15 months! I can’t even believe it. You have changed so much since the last time I wrote you a letter. You are 22 pounds, 8 ounces and 32 1/2 inches long . My little long and lean honey. You’ve got a tiny little toddler attitude, and you have zero tolerance for the word no.
You are completely fearless – you are afraid of nothing. We have to keep an eye on you constantly to make sure you’re not climbing on the furniture and trying to jump off it. And to note: you have only fallen off the couch once, and that was onto pillows and shoes, so win, right? You run everywhere, and get really cranky if someone is holding you when you just want to be let down. You love being outside in the backyard, and could run around out there for hours – I can’t wait to get you a playground and let you play out there forever.
You can say six words: mama, dada, hi, bye-bye, apple, and uh-oh. We’re working on doggie and banana, but you’re in no hurry to actual start speaking – which, ummm, if we’re being honest, we’re ok with. You’ve found your screaming voice, and you and I will have screaming matches in the car or when we’re eating dinner.
You’ll cling onto my legs in the kitchen when I’m making your dinner, and you’re really hungry. You are still one picky little eater, and still really love grilled cheeses and peanut butter, cheerios, bananas, biscuits.
You still love bath time, and for some reason, that’s when I can get you to say new words or say old words on repeat. Meemaw says it’s because it’s good one on one time, so maybe she’s right. Either way, I love hearing your sweet voice, especially when you’re saying mama.
Last night you gave me something awesome — fifteen solid minutes of snuggling and rocking. Your shots on Tuesday have made you pretty fussy, and you only want your mama to rock you to sleep, and let’s be honest – I loved it. Loved it.
I love you baby boo — each day more than the last. Every day you find a new way to make us laugh and smile –
I love you booger-
