Today you turn 2. I can’t believe that you are actually two whole years old. We have done so much, and you have learned so much in the past year.
You can say so many words, and are even stringing along a few two to three word sentences. Mostly, “watch mama!” You are still so fearless, and crawl and climb and get into everything. You are not afraid to try anything – and I’m not sure where you got that trait from, but I’m glad you have it.
You’re still not a fan of eating that much, but you do still love any fruit, and you will eat hot dogs and chicken nuggets, and that’s a huge step up from where we were. You are still my little milk weed, and you’ve taken a liking to Crystal Light – in fact, you ask for it by name. You are still not a giant fan of juice of any kind, even though we’ve tried. You love M&Ms and ice cream and peanut butter. You still love biscuits and bananas – and taking a bite of whatever mom and dad are having.
You took your first trip to New Orleans, and I hope you loved it as much as your mom and dad do. You went to your first aquarium, tried your first beignet, and strolled Frenchman Street. I hope that it becomes your most favorite city in the world.
You are still a stickler for a routine, and still a pretty awesome sleeper. You’re in bed by 7, and you’re up at 7 the next morning on weekends. You’re forced up a little earlier to go to daycare, but you don’t seem to mind. You’ve started to learn the names of all the kids in your daycare class, and you call them by name when saying good-bye to them at the end of the day.
You still love bath time with Dad. You’re always full of giggles and smiles when he’s getting you clean.
A few more firsts – your first soccer match, your first weekend away from just mama, your first dentist visit, your first real boo-boo, your first time helping mama bake brownies, your first sentences, and your first attempt to get rid of the paci.
Sheffield – you are one of the silliest guys I know. You laugh every day, and you make us laugh every day. Your personality shines through everyday, and I think your dad and I are in for it. You are our little boogs, and we love you so so much. I can’t wait to see what will come out your mouth next. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us, and I mean that. You make every day more sunshiney.
