You are growing up so much! We’ve seen your personality really shine through, and you are still the sweetest of babies.
The past month, you have become super comfortable with standing up. That’s all it seems like you want to do! You scoot around the edges of the coffee table; you walk around with your walker, and you get so proud of yourself. You giggle and look up at us with your big gummy face.
You are not the most graceful baby – you pretty much pound your way through the house when you’re crawling. You definitely can’t sneak up on us, and when you decide you’re tired of standing up, you fall down onto your hands and knees, and sometimes your head, but you never get upset.
We’ve tried a few finger foods, but we don’t think you are quite ready for it, yet. You have recently decided that Puffs are pretty much the greatest thing in the world, next to yogurt melts. You really like hummus, too, but are not a fan of avocados. I think we’ll wait a little bit to try anything else, since you haven’t quite mastered the gumming down. Except with Nilla wafers, but those are pretty delicious.
You got another ear infection, and the doctor told us that tubes may have to be an option if we can’t get it cleared up. I’m not too thrilled about surgery for you, but if it makes you feel better, then we are all for it. We don’t want it to interfere with your language, so whatever she tells us, we will do.
You still walk around the house saying dada and baba like crazy. You’ve said mama once, but have decided not to say it again. We keep saying it to you hoping you’ll say it again, but haven’t yet. Maybe soon.
We can’t believe that you’re nine months old already, and that we are already thinking about birthday party plans. You are the sweetest, happiest baby that there ever was, and you are so so loved. You make every minute we get to spend with you the best ever, and we can’t wait to see you keep growing.
