So here we are again! Already! This will be a little different than the past months, because I left my laptop at work (and yep, I sure am freaking out about it), so I’m just going to talk about the books and let you know whether I liked them or not! Linking up with Steph and Jana.
Girls in White Dresses – Jennifer Close // I honestly can’t tell you what the point of this book was. The characters jumped around like crazy, and I honestly don’t think there was a point to the book. Some girls were sad about not being married? I think? Read at your own risk.
Scrappy Little Nobody – Anna Kendrick // I loved this!! I love how honest she is, and how real she seems. I love that she loves to hole up in her house, and be a lovely little hermit. Because honestly? That’s how I want to live my life. Definitely read this if you like Anna Kendrick. Actually, read this even if you don’t. It’s a fun and quick read, and you’ll definitely come out loving her.
Emily Giffin – First Comes Love // I was scared to read this after reading her last one that I really didn’t like, but this one made me like her again. The story is about two sisters who deal with the death of their brother in two completely different ways, and finally discover what it is they really want. I was hooked from the beginning, and fell back in love with Emily Giffin.
The Mothers – Brit Bennett // I LOVED THIS BOOK. You need to pick this up ASAP. It did take me a second to get into it, but ugh, when I did. — it was amazing. I wish I could remember which blogger I saw the rec on this book from, but I can’t. I would give them all the credit in the world for this one.
Harvesting the Heart – Jodi Picoult // My first Picoult book, and now I’m hooked. I’m on the waiting list for most of her other books. I loved the premise of this book, and the main character was completely relatable as a mother. Thanks to this book, I’m excited for my number to come up on her other books.
Damaged – Lisa Scottoline // I’ve been picking up mystery, who-done-it books more and more lately. I love how quickly they go when you just want to know what is going on. The ending was a bit meh, but I loved the actual getting there of the rest of the book. I won’t go into any spoilers, but I thought the ending was just completely random.
What did you read in April that I must add to my list?
