Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine – Gail Honeyman // I don’t have enough good things in my vocabulary to say about this book. It is so well written and so engaging, and I loved it. Definitely definitely pick this one up.
The Heart Goes Last – Margaret Atwood // My sister recommended this book to me, and I really really liked it. Until the end. I had such high hopes for what could have happened, but it just kind of got wrapped in a bow and then just dropped. Kind of like Handmaid’s Tale. I don’t always want happy endings, but at least give me an ending!! I’ll probably read more of her stuff though – I’m a glutton for punishment.
Things We Didn’t Say – Kristina Riggle // Another sister recommendation. This one read really fast, and I really liked it. It wasn’t life-changing or anything, but it was a cute read on dysfunctional families. And everyone loves a good dysfunctional family.
we are never meeting in real life – Samantha Irby // I loved this. It was funny and real, and a little raunchy at times, but I loved it. I have never read her blog, but have plans to start. I related to a lot of the everything makes me anxious, and the introvert rhetoric.
Secret Sisters – Jayne Ann Krenitz // I liked the cover of this book, and checked it out from the library while I’m still on the waiting list for others, but I loved it. It was a really fun read, and it kept me intrigued. A murder mystery type book, it was kind of predictable, but I have really been in the mood for this kind of book lately.
