Can I just tell you how excited I am that football is right around the corner?? I was way too excited for the Hall of Fame Game which pretty much means nothing. AND, I’ve been scouring the ESPN channels looking for any old games (haha, at watching Bama play Ohio State a million times).
I love both college and pro football. I’ve been a Green Bay Packers fan for as long I can remember. That’s something my dad instilled in me a long time ago — I’m pretty sure he wanted a son. Anyway – we got on this kick where we would go to an away game every year, and I’ve been to Lambeau twice.
Lambeau the second time. A lovely evening of beating the Saints and fried cheese curds.
Pack vs. Chiefs, the first time. Clearly a while ago, because we’re wearing the ole Brett Favre jersey.
Baltimore 2013. Another Packer win — although this was the game that ended Jermichael Finley’s career. The fans here were actually pretty nice, too. We went to a bar after the game that was full of Packer fans. It was amazing.
St Louis — another Packer win. And the entire stadium was pretty full of Packer fans. In case you didn’t know, Packer Nation travels pretty well. Not actually in the stadium, but in the little pod thing that goes to the top of the arch.
New Orleans last year. A really bad loss. REALLY BAD.
I’m excited for when Sheffield is old enough to either come with us, or be left with the grandparents so we can continue the tradition. I really want to go to a West Coast game.
But for right now, I’ll settle for only three Saturdays until college football starts again — War Eagle for life!
