This past week and weekend were a few days full of firsts – baby boo got his first real sickness, double ear infection, no less (side note: his amoxicillin tastes like candy! why can’t they make adult medicine taste that good??); he also started sitting up, crawling on his hands and knees instead of just his army crawl, and has mastered climbing up a stair.
He also had one hell of a night on Saturday night, waking up every hour on the hour from 11-4. He didn’t even do this when he was a newborn, so we knew he wasn’t feeling too well. Apparently running on only about three hours sleep works well for me, though, because I jumped up and cleaned the entire damn house and made banana bread and did every single load of laundry.
The deep cleaning was necessary, because we’re getting our house on the market this week!! We went to an open house two streets over, and it made us feel really good about what we’re asking for our house, and how the house looks in general. I’m super nervous about moving from this house that I love so much, but I am so ready.
That was pretty much all that happened this weekend – pretty easy going and chill. Sometimes those are just completely necessary. We’re getting ready to be busy the next few upcoming weeks with getting this house completely ready to sell and trying to find a new place for our family — I am not looking forward to all the stress that brings, but it’s time. This house was good to us, and I hope it can bring the same kind of joy to another little family that it brought to mine.
