Last Friday was my 35th birthday. I guess at some point in your life, you really just kind of stop caring about your birthday. I think 35 is that point. It doesn’t mean that I didn’t have a great day, and the people who love me made me feel incredible.
The Thursday before my birthday, B took me to The Highlands – named the best restaurant in America, and has two James Beard award winners. I got to get all dolled up and enjoy an amazing dinner. Plus the coconut cake, which is what the pastry chef is known for. It was incredible. He definitely spoiled me rotten.
Then on Friday, my coworker showered me with confetti and amazing gifts, and a super fun night out. We started out at Paramount and ended up at a ton of other places, and then ended the night at Atomic. It was such a fun night out with coworkers who made me feel super special. I mean look at this girl – isn’t she beautiful? She planned everything out and made it a really fun night for me.
So here I am, 35. It sounds so old, but I feel like I have a lot to show for it. A great job, great friends, great family. That’s really all one can ask for, right?
