So I went to Vegas.
I’m 33, and I went to Vegas. I got out there pretty early on a Friday (cheapest flight), got to the hotel, left my luggage and went searching for food. Even though it was only like 1030 out there, my stomach was on central time, and I was starving. So I walked past the Venetian casino and hotel, and came across Mario Batali’s burger joint. Then I walked down the strip, found a mall and walked around. Then went back to the hotel bar and waited for everyone to arrive. Once they did, we decided on In N Out for dinner. That’s right – two burgers in one day – BECAUSE I AM AWESOME.
That night we went to Vegas: The Show! at Planet Hollywood – Lindsey knew a girl in the show, and honestly, it was pretty great. We turned in pretty early, because, you know old lady over here. Also, I was awake at 4 that morning, so I was pretty much dying. On the way there to the show, we got a pretty awesome view of the Eiffel Tower and the Bellagio Fountains.
Saturday we got up relatively early (again, old lady and sleep and my body no longer go together), went to breakfast at a place that had the most delicious cinnamon bun in the world (Mary’s Hash House A-Go-go <– or something to that effect), then went to the outlets to get some shopping in. After, we had reservations to visit the Neon Boneyard – something I’ve really wanted to do forever. It was so hot, but so worth it. I took a gagillion pictures, but here are my favorites.
That night, we had a cop out dinner at the Venetian, and then walked the strip – all the way down to New York, New York, where we had the most disappointing cookie in the world. Hershey store, you let me down. Anyway, again, we turned in pretty early, because we were up so early that morning.
Sunday was brunch at an amazing place in the Linq – the name escapes me, but it was delicious, with giant portions. We walked down to the mall again, then walked around the Wynn, and made it back to the airport fairly early. We got some dinner and some giant glasses of wine (because flying is the worst), and came back home.
For you, I have compiled a random collection of some pictures that didn’t really fit in anywhere, so here you go:
(that’s right, I blogger girl’d out and got a picture of the Sprinkles cupcake ATM, although, you know something? We walked in there to look at their cupcakes, and they were frosted squarely, and it was super weird)
And because you have to get a picture together, here you go. Sorry for looking like a giant garbage bag – but it was hot, and we had been walking, and for the most part it takes a lot for me to care about my appearance nowadays.
Thanks for a fun girls weekend guys! I missed my baby, but it was so fun to get away for just a few days!
