The weekend started out kinda crappily – I worked from home on Friday with boogs who was called out of daycare early on Thursday with a fever. He was pretty pitiful all day, and we spent the majority of it watching TV – because that’s just what you do when you don’t feel good.
Saturday, I got up early and canceled my Orange Theory class – I had caught a tad of whatever boogs had, and my body just wasn’t going to have that. We all got ready and headed up to Trussville to meet up with Nadine and her crew. We stopped for the essentials at Target (wine), and then went to Home Depot to gather our materials to make trays. Nadine was a pro zipping through Home Depot with the two kids in the cart. After Home Depot, we hit up Michael’s for a few other things, and then through the Starbucks drive thru (because mommies needed coffee), and then drove up to Nadine’s house to meet up with the boys. We got the kiddos fed and both down for naps. We cranked up the 90’s tunes, opened some wine and baked the cookies and made our trays. Once the kiddos were up, they decorated the cookies. It was such a blast, and Nadine is such a great hostess (hello cake batter dip)! I had started to feel pretty junky on the ride home, so B ordered us a pizza, we watched AU basketball beat Vandy, and I went to bed super early.
Sunday, we all slept in a little longer than normal since we were all a bit snotty. We finally got up out of bed and went to Hero for some Sunday doughnuts. We did our Trader Joe’s shopping, lounged around the house, watched the Super Bowl – B smoked some wings and made a bomb ass taco meat cheese dip – cheered for Philly, and immediately went to bed.
Nadine and I decided that we needed a craft weekend at least once a month, so hopefully we can keep up with that! It was so much fun. And hopefully this crazy sickness has left our house for good!
