On Friday, my sister and I had our Hocus Pocus party! We’d been planning it for a month, and we both promised not to watch it until Friday night. We got t-shirts, and vinyl decals for wine glasses, a black flame candle (really just a black candle), and prepared a whole menu! We had dead man’s toes (hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls with the top of the hot dog cut off to resemble toe nails), lucky rat’s tails (licorice) and spell book brownies, below. We also had Hocus Pocus fizz – a drink with vodka, orange sherbert and Sprite. It was so much fun, and we’ll definitely be carrying out this tradition for years to come!
Saturday, we took boogs to play on the playground, because the weather wasn’t too horrible. B then took me to Shake Shack for lunch, where we had super delicious burgers and fries. After naps, we headed down to the local trunk or treat – where Sheffield got to play some games, get some candy and paint a mini-pumpkin. He had such a good time! When we got home, B lit a fire in the fire pit, and we roasted hot dogs and s’mores. Sheffield had to keep his costume on – and well, why the heck not, right?
Sunday, we went to our very first daycare birthday party, and we were so glad that we did. Sheffield had such a fun time hanging out with his daycare friends, and of course getting to play in the arcade and eating cupcakes. After the birthday party, we headed into Homewood for the Witches Ride. Aunt Juney and Mr. B came with us, and Sheff racked up on some candy.
It was such a fun, crazy busy weekend full of Halloween fun. I am so looking forward to taking Sheff trick-or-treating, and hopefully a quieter November! Hope you guys have a great weekend and a happy Halloween!
