I’m not sure what it is about Back Forty that keeps us coming back (that’s a lie, it’s the cheeseburger), but we found ourselves there with Robyn and crew again on Saturday. It was perfect timing, since we got there just in time to watch AU in the baseball super regionals. We had a few beers, ate cheeseburgers, and watched AU make a comeback to take game 1 of 3. After we watched the game, we headed down to Morris Avenue to check out the new Rainbow Wall. It was so fun to get a few pictures in front of it – especially to celebrate Pride Month.
Sunday morning, we woke up to head to Target, and then we went over to a new playground/splash pad. The playground was so fun – with so many things to do, and then they turned on the water for the splash pad. We hadn’t brought Sheff a swimsuit, so into the water with his clothes on he went. He had a blast – we will definitely be headed back over there this summer. After naps (and an AU loss in game 2 to force the game 3 for today), we went outside to play in the pool. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans for us, so we played in the rain for a little bit until it started thunderstorming, then we headed inside for some snuggles and a viewing of Tarzan. B and I ended the night with a homemade BBQ pizza and some Ballers.
We’re looking forward to a pretty low-key weekend – Sheff gets his tonsils out on Thursday, so lots of ice cream, pudding and Paw Patrol are in our future. Hope you guys had a great weekend!
