Saturday we got up and headed to Atlanta pretty early. I had bought tickets to Candytopia awhile back. And even though it meant a two and half hour trip just for a trip to, basically, Candyland, I knew that Sheffield would really enjoy it. You guys – it was so amazing! All of the stuff there was pretty much made out of candy, and they even gave you a piece of candy for every new room you entered. At the very end they had a “marshmallow” pit that S loved swimming around in.
After our candy adventure, we ventured over to Ponce City Market– which was also pretty cool. We were looking for something good to eat, and while they had lots of different options, nothing was really sticking out. They had a bunch of fun stores, but we didn’t hang around too long. We Yelped a couple of places and decided to head to Bon Ton for lunch – which was an Asian-Cajun fusion place. It was so good, and they were still serving brunch, so I was all over some fried egg on top of some rice. It was so good, and I definitely want to go back next time we’re in Atlanta.
Some other fun weekend stuff: My sister took S to see Marvel live, and B and I got to have a mini date night. We tried out Paper Doll Bar – which was amazing. After that we got a little hungry, so we went over to 5 points oyster house for some oysters, cheese curds and sushi. It was a nice little break, and I know S enjoyed getting to spend some time with his aunt.
