I’m going to go back to college and say my weekend started on Thursday when I got to have an amazing lunch with the beautiful Nadine. We went over to Carrigans since she had never been there – we split a French Dip sandwich and their corn dog, and that may have been the best idea we’ve ever had. Except for when we split almost every appetizer they had at Soho Social- now that was a good idea.
Friday for lunch, I wanted nothing but a milkshake. I drove over to Big Spoon Creamery, and had their strawberry ice cream put into a milkshake, and it was the best milkshake I’d ever had. Friday night, B and I reinstated our drinks after work on Friday night, since splash time started again at school. We headed over to Queens Park, since they only time we’d gone over there was for their Christmas pop-up, and we wanted to try their Tiki drinks. They were so good, and we’ll definitely be back.
Saturday, my sister and I finally took advantage of the Valentine’s gift her boyfriend had gotten us, and went to get massages and hydrotherapy. The massage was so amazing that I definitely fell asleep during it. After, we went to have margaritas and queso and also decided that we needed churros. It was so good. After playing in the pool all afternoon, we brought boogs inside to watch some TV. He thought it was so cool to sit like his dad on the couch. So sweet.
Sunday my sister and I took boogs to see Aladdin. I can’t say enough good things about it either. It was so great. The songs were so great – Will Smith was incredible. The movie was full of beautiful people and colors, and it was just beautiful. I want to go see it over and over. We spent the rest of the day hanging out in the pool.
Also, the world lost a great woman this past weekend in Leah Chase- the matriarch of Creole Cuisine. She was 96.
Hope y’all had a great weekend.
