This weekend was a pretty laid back one – for which I’m grateful. We didn’t have a whole lot of plans, actually no plans at all – except to enjoy the beautiful weather we knew was coming.
Friday after work we headed over to Hop City to finally try Ralph’s collaboration beer with Good People. It was a fudge brownie stout, and it was awesome. I’m not a stout fan, but I did really like this one, and B said it was one of the best he’s had. I’m so so proud of Ralph – he deserves all the good things that have come to him and will come to him. He’s an amazing person. Make sure to follow him on the ‘gram @beeredblackman.
Saturday, I got up and went to the Y. We did a thing last week and joined, and I absolutely love it. They’ve got child care, lots of choices for group classes, and of course, a pool. After that, boogs and I got ready and went shopping and for lunch with my sister. We were craving some Shake Shack, but the line was out the door, so we ended up at our favorite little Mexican joint by my house. Where Sheff ate two things of queso!! I was so proud of him – so don’t judge me, because that’s all he had for lunch. After lunch, we dropped Sheff back at home for his nap, and then my sister and I proceeded to find a patio for some day drinks. We had Moscow Mules at Paramount, and a few drinks at Carrigans. The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Sunday we did a whole lot of nothing but be outside. Sheff decided to dress himself, so he busted out his ninja turtle shell, and also wanted to wear his helmet. So I say, meh. Be a kid. We listened to Jazz Fest all weekend long – tried out TrimTab’s Blood Orange Margaritas gose (the most amazing summer beer!), and got some sun. Sheff was content to play outside with his bat and ball and trampoline. It was a good day that ended with an amazing Game of Thrones.
That was pretty much it – just a really good relaxing weekend. I hope y’alls was too!
