Last week was my first full week of my new job at my new place. To celebrate on Friday, B and I went to Paramount for a brew. The coolest thing about this? Paramount is literally a flight of stairs down from my office. A FLIGHT OF STAIRS! I tried Cahaba’s Oktoberfest, and while it wasn’t my most favorite beer, I had a good time unwinding with my boo.
B went out for a beer Friday night as well, so Sheff and I got another mama-sheffers date. We watched a movie, and then when sheff went to bed, I caught up on Bachelor in Paradise (don’t judge me), and went to bed early. It was glorious.
Saturday morning, I got up and did some running intervals on my own. B then took boogs out to help with some yardwork, and I got to head to HomeGoods, Ulta and World Market. I found some awesome Halloween stuff (can’t stop, won’t stop), and found a delicious smelling dry shampoo at Ulta. I came home and B had started his roux for gumbo for the LSU game. We also started some Rotel dip, and got ready for the game. My sister and her beau came over to watch the game with us. I had some bourbon (ok, A LOT of bourbon), and mourned the one-point loss to LSU.
Sunday was definitely our slug day. We watched the impossibly infuriating Packers game (they ended in a tie – UGH), and then spent most of the day indoors, since it’s still over 90 degrees here. Sheffield played with all of his tracks down in the basement while B and I binged on The Great British Baking Show. Boogs got his little pup tent out, and took his giant bear in there and just played. It was such a nice relaxing day.
And since it was Italian night on the baking show, B and I found ourselves craving pasta, so he made a delicious bowl of pasta and we spent the night watching comedy. Minus all the football nonsense, it was a pretty laid back relaxed weekend. I hope y’all had a great weekend too!
