This past weekend was pretty perfect. Like I’ve said before, I’m trying to take in these last little moments before Sheffield comes, by spending time with baby daddy, reading and catching up on shows.
On Saturday, I had two dear friends come up to celebrate Sheffield with me. If you know me at all, you know that I am not one for attention — I don’t like all eyes on me, as I get really bad social anxiety. So I decided instead of a traditional baby shower, I really just wanted to hang out with my best girls and have a girl’s day. My bestie from high school unfortunately couldn’t make it, but I had Ms. Nadine and Ms. Lindsey who came up from NOLA to spend the day with me.
Look at this beauty that Nadine made!:
And Lindsey got Sheffield an entire basket full of New Orleans goodies — because like his parents, he will grow to love that city more than anything.
After everyone got there, we headed to Jack Brown’s for burgers, fries and fried Oreos. Then we went to get pedicures, headed over to Steel City Pops, and then went on a trek through Target. Did you know that a Target trip with friends is a million times better than with your husband?? We cleared out the little boys clearance section and got some cute little t-shirts for Sheffield.
Once we decided we were done for the day, B was really craving some sushi, so we went to Okinawa, and he got a giant plate of sushi. I was still full from Jack Brown’s, so I got a salad and some spring rolls. Delicious!
Then for B’s first semi-Father’s Day, Sheffield and I woke him up early to give him his present! He got a new AU hat, to go with Sheffield’s new AU hat and onesie — so they can watch their first Auburn game together in style. Also, this is a super old picture of B, but I just love it so much.
So that was the weekend!! I hope everyone had a great one as well! Another week — let’s do this!
