This past weekend, we had gorgeous weather. And I mean, gorgeous. Like high 60s low 70s gorgeous. It made me really wish for spring!!
Friday, I got to be inducted into Lunch Club with Nadine and her friend, Chris. Unfortunately for me, work came up and I had to cut it short (which was then followed by two traffic jams trying to get back to work — ALL THE ROAD RAGE), but hopefully we can try again this week!!
I of course got pizza, because pizza – Chris and Nadine both got yummy looking sandwiches, and we all split the chocolate tart. So rich, but so good. The pizza was a meat pizza and the salad was called the Magic City Ranch. I don’t think there’s any way faster to my heart than homemade ranch. I’m 1000% serious about that.
We got up early and ran a bunch of errands. A local church was having a baby and kids consignment sale, so we went to check it out. It was my first time going to one of these things, and it was a freaking gold mine. Super cheap and cute clothes for baby boo. We rarely spend a ton of money on clothes for the kid, because, duh, he grows fast, and I don’t see the point in it. There are a few more of these popping up, so we’ll definitely be checking them out. After that we headed up to the Summit for some Trader Joe’s time ( THEY HAVE BACON FLAVORED POPCORN!), and I dropped my phone off to get the screen fixed (Mardi Gras incident — don’t ask) – then we dilly dallied around the Summit, got some guac and cocktails at Chuy’s, grabbed my phone and went on home. After naps by all, we went up to Tip Top Grill to get some Big Spoon ice cream sammies. SO GOOD.
The child got me sick (again), so even though I got in a training run, it was only three miles as opposed to the six I was supposed to do. Even then, I shouldn’t have done it. B got some work done around the house, and the kid and I lounged and played most of the day.
And as if any weekend would be complete with a baby collage, here you go:
Hope y’all had a great weekend!
