This weekend, all I wanted to do was soak up time with my family. It is so hard being away from them – even though I know it necessary for work. And B is a great daddy, so boogs was in good hands.
I got back around 230pm on Friday, went back into the office, because I had a meeting with my customer (TALK ABOUT DEDICATION), and then promptly raced home to get those sweet baby kisses. The smile on his face when he saw mama was the best! We pretty much just hung around outside Friday night, B and I ordered some Thai food and settled in for some TV.
Saturday, I hit up my 630am OTF class to get the day started. I then spent the rest of the morning out with boogs shopping (for big boy underpants and tools for a potty chart!), and some new AU gear for the kiddo. He’s got to be spurting, because all he does is eat lately, and all of his clothes keep getting tighter and shorter. After an AU win (WDE!), and nap time for the kiddo, we headed over to the Bluff Park Art Show -which is held the first Saturday of every October. We picked up a photograph from our favorite local photographer, and a Jayne Morgan honey bear magnet. B and I ended the night eating pizza and watching Michigan lose.
Sunday we woke up to tropical storm warnings for Hurricane Nate, so we settled in for a day in our PJs, football and junk food. We ate pumpkin rolls from TJ’s, watched the Pack make a comeback on the last drive of the game to beat the Cowboys, and made Halloween cupcakes. He has always loved Curious George, but we are going through a serious love affair with him nowadays. I don’t hate it – he could be obsessed with something annoying like that kid from PBS. All in all, a pretty great Sunday.
Sheffield was promoted to the 2 – 2 1/2 year class on Monday – where they actively start potty training and teaching them letters. He also gets to go a creative dance movement class on Mondays and starts to learn things about himself – age and birthday. I’m excited to see how much he learns!
I hope y’all had a great weekend!
