Last week was a fucking doozy. It was one of the worst work weeks I’ve had in awhile – covering accounts for people who were out as well as my own, taking Sheffield to swim lessons Monday – Thursday (which are a complete and total disaster, but that’s a story for another time), and making sure I had time for the gym, spending time with Bennett and housework, etc. By the time Friday rolled around, I was ready for my after work drink. We again hit up Carrigans. I got the Deception cocktail, and it was absolutely perfect. And went down like water. We then had my sister over for some delicious Chinese food, and I passed out at like 8:30 I’m pretty sure.
As per Saturday ritual now, I started the day with OTF. I have started to add some additional running on the treadmill on my own and have started to feel like my old self. Plus, the Peachtree Road Race is next week, and I’d like to not die. After we’d had breakfast, we got ready to go and meet our daycare friends at McWane Science Center for a morning of playing and learning – and then we headed over to Pizitz for lunch. After naps, boogs and I met up with my sister to go shopping. He was surprisingly really good while we were out, and then we got my sister and Sheffers some dinner at Chick-Fil-A, where he ate all of his dinner. I like to think maybe he was making up for being such a terror at swim lessons, but either way, I was happy he ate all of his dinner with zero argument. B and I then stayed up way too late listening to music and chatting.
Sunday we had an incredibly lazy day – we read books on the kitchen floor, painted some Paw Patrol pictures, and spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool and outside. I made some cinnamon sugar banana bread (recipe to come soon), egg muffins for breakfast, and cleaned out my closet. We ate some Oreos and watched some Paw Patrol (his brand new obsession), and all parties in the house went to bed pretty early. I also know that I married the right man, because when I told him that I wanted these peacock sheets for our bed, he didn’t blink an eye. Also, they are super cute, and I love them, and yes, they are now on our bed.
Next weekend, we’re headed to TacoFest at Avondale, and I’m pretty pumped about it! I love having something to look forward to!
Hope you guys had a great weekend as well!
