Be tolerant // People will have their different opinions. I want you to be open and understanding. Understand that people don’t come in a one size fits all box, and the things you say to them can hurt them. There are so many awesome people and cultures in the world — get to know them.
Love the water // You’ll probably inherit this one from your momma and daddy anyway, but love the water. Love the ocean, the lake, the pool, the bathtub even. Always run for the ocean when you see it and dive in head first (unless of course there’s a sign for no diving, in which case, follow the rules — they’re there for a reason). Take the time to look out at the horizon and dream.
Be a nerd — a big one // Again, you’ll probably get this from your mom and dad, but be a smart kid. Read, be good at math, like Star Wars. Don’t care that you’re not popular — that only lasts through high school, and that’s only four years of your life. You’ll make it through, I promise. Get good grades, get into a good school, and get a good job. These are the kids that always get the girl.
Love animals // You will grow up in a house that will always have a dog. Learn to be gentle and kind with all living creatures.
Be a gentleman // Say yes ma’am and no ma’am — hold the door — give up your seat — bring flowers. Chivalry is not dead.
Find something you love to do and don’t stop doing it // That “something” can change as many times as you want in your lifetime. If you love it, do it. Unless it’s like killing people — don’t do that. So many times people trudge through life doing things they don’t want to do and become bitter and angry because of it. Don’t become one of them — be passionate about things and always remember that you are capable and worth it.

Awe, I love this!!! I wish that everyone would instill these in to their children’s. The world would be such a better place if that were the case, wouldn’t it?!?!?
