I am aware that Labor Day was almost two weeks ago, thank you for that reminder. Getting all the pictures together and everything has become a serious pain. Either that, or I’ve gotten even lazier than I used to be. Probably that.
My customer at work was off on Monday, so that meant I actually got to have a three day weekend! Hooray! Friday, boo and family got all dressed up for #wearyourcollegecolorday in our Auburn orange and blue! He was a hit in his little Auburn jersey and pants. After picking him up from daycare, b and I went to Cocina Superior for an adult beverage and some nachos. Boo didn’t want anything to do with the nachos, but he did love some Puffs. That kid and his Puffs.
All day Saturday was spent watching football. We watched our Auburn guys lose, but still loving on them anyway. Sunday was spent just hanging out and cleaning up – which seems dumb seeing as how the house is covered in baby toys, milk and smashed up Cheez-Its almost all of the time.
Monday we decided to go to Tannehill National Park — we’d never been before, and they were having some Labor Day picnic fun thing. They have some awesome trails and a fun campsite, so once boo gets older, we’ll have to go back and check those out. Although, he seemed pretty intent on being a big boy and walking on those trails all by himself.
We ended the trip with some BBQ at Bob Sykes (because, Labor Day), and it was so good! Boo even indulged and ate some French fries. Picky little booger.
It was such a nice three day weekend, and it made me wonder why we don’t have those more often. Someone make that call to the President.
