This week has been crappy. I don’t talk much about my work on here, but it has been a doozy. It just seems like everything that could go wrong work-related did, and then I had to spend a lot of time cleaning up the mess that was left in its wake.
It definitely had an effect on my mood, and while I try to keep it at the workplace the second I walk out the door, sometimes it’s just really hard. And I try even harder, because I don’t want it to rub off on boogs, and I don’t want to spend what precious little time I have with him during the week to be tarnished by a shitty day.
So with that being said, a few things for this week..
I finally got my hair cut! It had been over a year and a half since I’d last had it touched by a professional, and MAN did it feel good! I got some of that balayage that’s all the rage, and got all of my dead ends chopped off. I am so so happy with it.
Sheffield is walking in the pool by himself like a big boy! I love watching him realize that he can do these things on his own, because right now, he is all Mr. Independent and Mr. I want to do it myself.
Yesterday in Orange Theory, we had a two minute distance challenge. I wasn’t even expecting to crack the leaderboard, but I placed third out of the women with 588 meters rowed in two minutes. Again, I can’t sing enough praises about Orange Theory- I’m going about five days a week now, and I can certainly see the difference.
For this entire month of June, I won’t be eating out for lunch. This doesn’t include my Tuesdays where I normally get a lunch with B or a friend and try some place new. It includes the trips to Chick-Fil-A, Firehouse, Starbucks and all the things I don’t need to be spending money on for lunch. 2 days in and 2 lunches brought. #winning
Sheffield and I had a water war this week. He definitely lost, but mama also didn’t play fair. He thought he was too funny splashing me with water from his water table – and so when I started splashing him back and letting him get wet in his normal clothes? I have never heard such giggles. He’d come running at me full speed completely soaked. It was the best. These little moments are what keep me grounded and sane. I love that little guy so much!
We’re planning on just keeping it nice and easy this weekend – If the weather holds, we’ll be heading up to Vulcan’s 113th birthday party on Sunday, so that should be a good time! I hope you guys have a great weekend!
