I was going to throw this into the weekend recap post, but decided it was just way too cute, and it needed its own post. Sometimes I worry way too much about what people will think when they come to this space ( and I know it’s not a lot of people), and I let that influence what I write or share. I’m working on the not caring what people think – as in – this is my blog and my tiny little corner of the internet, so if I want to write a post about my kid’s daycare turkey day program? Well, so be it.
This was his last little Thanksgiving play, so it was bitter sweet to see him up there. We get to see him one more time on this stage for his Christmas program, but this was it for turkey day. Do any other parents get a little choked up watching their kids on stage? Yes, I know he’s four, and it’s probably ridiculous, but I know how much work he put into it, because I knew all the songs before he went up on stage. He’s been practicing these songs for over a month! And y’all – he did such a good job. He sang all of them, and was so proud. He was so happy when he finally spotted us in the audience. Getting to take the pictures with his sweet friends afterward made it even better.
Afterward we went out for Mexican to celebrate, and it was the perfect ending to the day. He’s such a good kid, and we genuinely enjoyed watching him on that stage.
