I didn’t get a chance to update the bump pics last week since B was out of town, and it’s virtually impossible for me to get a good bump pic on my own. Trust me, I’ve tried.
We got to go down to NOLA for Mardi Gras this past weekend, and while it wasn’t how I would have celebrated sans-baby, it was still pretty freaking awesome.
How far along: 18 weeks — baby is the size of a sweet potato — and the sex organs have formed! We’ll find out next week, and we can hardly contain ourselves. I hope that baby cooperates with us.
Weight gain: Will find out for sure again next week, but I’d say pretty close to about ten pounds by now. I’m hungry all the time!
I’m feeling: A little self-conscious. I’m having a really hard time with the body changes. I’m not big enough to look pregnant, so I feel like I just look like I’m fat. And I can tell in pictures that my face is getting bigger. For someone who’s been pretty self-conscious all her life, it’s pretty tough on the self-esteem.
Maternity clothes: Pretty much all the time now. Non maternity jeans are not happening now, they’re just not.
Miss anything: It was really hard to not eat raw oysters in New Orleans — and of course to not have a banana daiquiri.
Food cravings: Mashed potatoes! And soup!
