Saturday we woke up – pumped about the March For Our Lives. I don’t care what your views on this are, so keep them to yourself. I don’t want my kid shot dead in high school, so there we are.
But first, we had to fuel up with some delicious food! We stopped at Farm Burger for the first time ever, and it was delicious. Boogs isn’t a giant fan of meat on bread, so he had the fries, and even he approved! I got the build your own burger, and B got the Farm Burger. We got a few beers and enjoyed a nice family lunch.
After naps we got ready for the March For Our Lives event downtown at Railroad Park. I was so happy to see the turn-out, and was even more impressed by the fact that it was all put on by kids. I can’t imagine what it would be like to send my kid to school and not have him come back. We went with daycare mom and her gang, so it was a lot of fun to get to do that with another family!
After that – Robyn and I got a mom date and went over to Slice for some baked feta and cheese bread and a few beers. And since we weren’t quite ready to call it a night, we walked over to Lou’s for another drink. It was sooo great getting to spend time sans the kiddos – we hadn’t gotten to do that yet, so it was really fun to see how much we had in common!
On Sunday, Aunt Juney came into town!! I was so excited to see my sister, and Sheffield really loved getting to see her too! We dyed Easter eggs that Sunday afternoon – just so we could get a holiday tradition in with Aunt Juney! He had a blast!
After boogs was fed, B let me and my sister go to Cocina Superior to have a fun sister dinner! We got our el changos, some queso and some tacos. It was so fun getting to have her here to go to dinner with! I can’t wait till it’s a more regular event! We had plenty more adventures – but I’ll get to those a little later! Hope you guys had a great weekend too!
