I mentioned last Friday how horrible work had been last week – so all I wanted to do on Friday was just go home, pour a glass of wine, get in pajamas, order a pizza and watch a movie with the kiddo. So that is exactly what I did. We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza (SO GOOD), and S and I watched Frozen. Those are my favorite kind of Friday nights. S loves taking selfies, so we made funny faces while we waited on our pizza.
Saturday, we got up bright and early to head to Montgomery to meet up with B’s parents to do the Steeplechase horse race over near Callaway Gardens. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. B’s mom packed a bunch of delicious food, and we just sat and chilled, watched some horse races, drank some beer and ate. We headed back to Montgomery to watch the Bama/LSU game, eat some taco soup and then headed to bed.
We left Montgomery Sunday after breakfast – B set up the TV outside, and we watched some football before heading to the Y. I got my long run in (5 miles running the whole time – best I’ve been able to do in a while!), and then came home to watch the Pack. It started to get cold during the game, so B started a fire. We watched the Packers pull out a super close game, made some cheeseburgers for dinner and called it a night.
S tried to lay claim to my Packer Bear by being all cute with it – he may need to get his own for Christmas or something.
Was glad for a weekend to recharge, and even though I wasn’t completely ready to come into work today, one must continue to adult. Also, happy Veteran’s Day to those who have served and continue to do so – thank you for everything you’ve done.
