I mentioned yesterday just how much this weekend sucked – and nothing really particular except how awful I felt for my little guy. The good thing is that he was acting like himself – silly and all over the place, but it still broke my heart. Since that shit is highly contagious, we were pretty much quarantined to the house all weekend.
We did a lot of playing outside and coloring. B and I did manage to escape for a date night (first in four months!), and we got to hit up FoodBar where I got this delicious pork with pasta dish and B and I split a dozen oysters – Bama beauties to be exact, and they were so amazing . It was even so nice out that night that we got to sit outside. We also hit up The Sour Room in Avondale (I’ll have a separate post on this, but it was amazing).

Sunday was pretty much the same thing as Saturday – long walks outside – playing in the yard and coloring. We also did our fair share of movie watching, because even though boo was acting like himself, he was super snuggly those times he wasn’t feeling 100%. And since this kid rarely snuggles, B and I ate it right up.
We’re really hoping he kicks this thing by Thursday at the very latest – he seems to be getting better, but it kills me that he’s going to miss his Valentine’s Day celebration at daycare with all the other kids, especially because I’ll be working from home and not able to truly celebrate with him. Oh, yeah – Happy Valentine’s Day and all that- I’m just thankful I have my little forever Valentine now.
