To hold myself accountable for training for the half marathon (my goal is to be faster this time, and not to just “not die”) – I’m going to do these every Sunday. The week runs Monday- Sunday. Of course feel free to just mark this as read, because this is just for me.
Monday through about Friday, I was dealing with some sort of cold thing. I really shouldn’t have gone to workout on Monday or Wednesday – Wednesday at OTF, I couldn’t even finish the last treadmill block without turning the speed down.
Friday I was pretty proud of my run, because I held a 5.5 mph throughout the whole thing. I really hadn’t been able to do that since the half marathon, when it seemed those 13.1 miles destroyed my lungs and ability to run.
My Sunday run – I started at 5.5 for the first mile and then gradually went up by .1 for every mile until mile 4, when I knocked it up to 6mph. The last .1 I ran at an 8mph. My goal is to try to get faster with every passing mile and not slower, so I think I’ll continue to try to train like this until the half marathon.
My time to beat for the half marathon is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Amazfit for this week: Only days that I hit goal of 10,000 steps where the ones where I worked out. Sad. Need to fix that.
